Exhaust check valve is a type of valve used to prevent the backflow of medium in pipelines, mainly used in systems that require exhaust (or vacuum) environment (such as turbine exhaust systems, vacuum pipelines, condensate systems, etc.).
Its core functions are:
Unidirectional flow: allows the medium (gas, vapor, or liquid) to flow in a single direction, preventing reverse reflux.
Vacuum protection: Maintain stable system pressure under pumping or vacuum conditions, prevent external air or medium from flowing back into the equipment, and avoid damage to the unit (such as the steam turbine) or affecting system efficiency.
Structure and components of rotary Check valve
Valve body: Designed with a straight through or Y-shaped flow channel, made of materials such as cast iron, carbon steel, stainless steel, etc., it needs to withstand medium pressure and flow impact.
Valve disc: disc-shaped or elliptical, rotating around the horizontal axis inside the valve body, with a surface often welded with wear-resistant alloy to extend its service life.
Valve seat: It is in contact with the sealing surface of the valve disc and is divided into metal hard seal and rubber soft seal.
Joystick/Pin Shaft: Fixed valve disc rotation center, material must be wear-resistant, and some structures are equipped with spring assisted reset.
Advantages of rotary check valve:
Low flow resistance: After the valve disc is opened, it is almost parallel to the direction of the fluid, and the pressure loss is small.
Large diameter: Suitable for large-diameter pipelines ranging from DN50 to DN2000, especially widely used in the fields of water supply and drainage, and petrochemicals.
Strong anti impurity ability: The gap between the valve disc and the valve seat is large, making it less likely to be blocked by particles or debris in the medium.
