The Globe valve opens and closes by rotating the handwheel to drive the valve stem, causing the valve disc to move up and down along the center line of the valve seat. When the valve disc leaves the valve seat, fluid passes through the gap between the valve disc and the valve seat, and the valve is in an open state; When the valve disc is tightly attached to the valve seat, it prevents fluid from passing through and the valve is in a closed state.

Key points for installation and maintenance of ultra-low temperature globe valve

Installation precautions: Follow the arrow markings on the valve body to ensure that the direction of pressure on the valve disc when closed is consistent with the direction of the sealing surface; Large caliber valves need to be equipped with low-temperature supports to prevent pipeline shrinkage and valve body cracking; Valves used in oxygen systems must be strictly degreased to prevent oil contamination from causing explosions.

Maintenance points: Conduct a low-temperature sealing test before installation to ensure good fit between the valve disc and seat; Replace the packing every 1-2 years to avoid valve stem leakage caused by aging of the packing; Bolts are prone to loosening in low temperature environments and need to be tightened with a torque wrench to the standard torque.
