The structural composition of the Centerline butterfly valve

The centerline butterfly valve mainly consists of the following parts:

Valve body: As the outer shell of a valve, it is used to connect pipelines and is usually made of materials such as cast iron, stainless steel, aluminum alloy, etc. It needs to be selected according to the characteristics of the medium and the usage environment.

Butterfly plate: In the shape of a disc, it is the opening and closing component of a valve, which can be opened, closed or flow regulated by rotating around the axis of the valve stem.

Valve stem: connects the butterfly plate and the driving device, transmits operating torque, and is mostly made of stainless steel to ensure corrosion resistance and strength.

Sealing ring: installed at the edge of the valve body or butterfly plate, used to seal the gap between the valve seat and the butterfly plate. Common materials include rubber, polytetrafluoroethylene, etc., selected according to the temperature and corrosiveness of the medium.

Drive device: including manual, electric, pneumatic, hydraulic and other types, used to drive the valve stem to rotate and achieve valve operation.


The working principle of the structural composition of the centerline butterfly valve

The centerline butterfly valve completes the opening and closing process by rotating the butterfly plate 90 ° around the valve stem

Open state: The butterfly plane is parallel to the direction of fluid flow, with minimal fluid resistance and maximum flow rate.

Closed state: The butterfly plate plane is perpendicular to the direction of fluid flow, and the sealing ring is tightly attached to the valve seat, cutting off the fluid. When adjusting, the butterfly plate rotates to different angles to control the flow rate.
