Ultra low temperature check valve

Ultra low temperature Check valve is a valve designed specifically for ultra-low temperature environments below -100 ℃, mainly used to prevent the backflow of low-temperature media (such as liquefied natural gas LNG, liquid oxygen LO ₂, liquid nitrogen LN ₂, liquid argon LAr, etc.), while ensuring the sealing and reliability of the system at extremely low temperatures. Its typical application scenarios include:

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) transportation system (operating temperature -162 ℃);

Cryogenic chemical processes (such as air separation equipment, low-temperature storage tanks, refrigeration units);

Aerospace low-temperature fuel systems (such as liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen propellant pipelines);

Low temperature energy storage and transportation (such as liquefied gas tank trucks, pressure vessel pipelines)

Key points for installation and maintenance of ultra-low temperature check valve

Installation precautions

Direction and support: The arrow on the valve body should be consistent with the flow direction of the medium. Large diameter valves require separate brackets to prevent pipeline stress from being transmitted to the valve body.

Pre cooling treatment: Before the first use, low-temperature nitrogen or argon gas should be used to pre cool the valve (cooling rate ≤ 5 ℃/minute) to prevent deformation of the sealing surface caused by rapid cooling.

Maintenance points

Regular inspection:

Leak detection: Use ultrasonic leak detector or helium mass spectrometer leak detector to check for trace leaks in flanges, valve stems, and other parts.

Packing box maintenance: Check the tightness of the packing gland every six months to avoid excessive tightening at low temperatures that may cause the packing to harden. If necessary, replace the low-temperature lubricating grease (such as perfluoropolyether grease).

Emergency response: In case of ice blockage, electric heating (temperature ≤ 80 ℃) can be used to slowly heat up and melt the ice cubes. It is forbidden to use open flames for baking.
