Key structure and working principle of gate valve
Gate opening and closing components, which are in contact with the sealing surface of the valve seat to achieve truncation. Common types include:
Wedge gate: a combination of single or double gate, with a tilted sealing surface, and a sealing force generated by wedging the valve stem;
Parallel gate: Double parallel gate, relying on springs, medium pressure or wedges to open the seal.
Valve seat: fixed on both sides of the valve body, providing a sealing surface, and can be made of metal or rubber/plastic material.
Valve stem: connects the gate and the driving device to transmit lifting motion.
Valve body: The main body of the fluid channel, and the material is selected according to the working conditions.
Working principle of gate valve
Opening process: The driving device drives the valve stem to rise, the gate plate disengages from the valve seat, the flow channel is fully opened, and the fluid resistance is minimal.
Closing process: The valve stem descends to push the gate plate to fit the valve seat, and the sealing surface is in close contact, blocking fluid flow.
