Workflow activation: The valve stem drives the gate to move upward, and the wedge-shaped sealing surface disengages from the valve seat, allowing fluid to pass freely; The gate moves downwards, and the wedge-shaped sealing surface tightly adheres to the valve seat, relying on medium pressure or external force to achieve sealing.

The wedge-shaped structure utilizes fluid pressure to assist in sealing, especially suitable for high-pressure conditions; When fully opened, the gate completely separates from the flow channel, resembling a straight pipe section with low pressure loss; It can be used for various media such as water, steam, oil, gas, etc., with a temperature range from -29 ℃ to 550 ℃.

Key points for installation and maintenance of wedge gate valve

Wedge gate valve can be sealed in both directions, and the flow direction of the medium does not affect its use, but it is recommended to install it according to the arrow mark on the valve body; The pipeline needs to be fixed and supported to prevent the valve from bearing additional bending moments or torques; Vertical installation priority: It is recommended to install the rising stem gate valve vertically for easy observation of the valve stem position, while the hidden stem gate valve can be installed horizontally or vertically. The valve stem thread and bearing parts need to be filled with high-temperature resistant lubricating grease to prevent jamming; During maintenance, the sealing surface needs to be ground to ensure proper fit; If the opening and closing torque suddenly increases, it is necessary to check whether there are impurities blocking or the sealing surface is worn, and forced operation is prohibited.
