Leave a messageThe Globe valve opens and closes by rotating the handwheel to drive the valve stem, causing the valve disc to move up and down along the center line of the valve seat. When the valve disc leaves the valve seat, fluid passes through the gap between the valve disc and the valve seat, and the valve is in an open state; When the valve disc is tightly attached to the valve seat, it prevents fluid from passing through and the valve is in a closed state.
The structural composition of the globe valve:
Valve body: The main body of a valve that provides a fluid flow channel.
Valve cover: connects the valve body and valve stem to provide sealing and support.
Valve stem: transmits operating force and drives the valve disc to rise and fall.
Valve disc: directly controls fluid flow and cooperates with the valve seat to achieve sealing.
Valve seat: located inside the valve body, in contact with the valve disc to form a sealing surface.
Handwheel/Drive Device: Operating component for manual, electric, pneumatic, or other driving methods.
Working principle of globe valve
Opening process: By rotating the valve stem with a handwheel or driving device, the valve disc is lifted upwards to separate from the valve seat, and fluid flows from the inlet end to the outlet end.
Closing process: Rotate the valve stem in reverse, the valve disc moves downward, tightly adheres to the valve seat, and blocks fluid flow.
Flow regulation: By controlling the lifting height of the valve disc and changing the cross-sectional area of the channel, rough adjustment of the flow rate can be achieved.
