Ultra low temperature Regulating valve is a precision control equipment designed for ultra-low temperature environments below -100 ℃, used to regulate the flow rate, pressure, and temperature of low-temperature media. The core challenge lies in the material's resistance to low-temperature embrittlement, sealing reliability, and structural anti freezing, which are widely used in fields such as aerospace, cryogenic chemicals, energy storage and transportation.
Working principle:
Similar to conventional regulating valves, the valve core is driven by an actuator to move inside the valve body, changing the flow area to achieve regulation. But special attention should be paid to ultra-low temperature environments:
Anti icing: The long neck valve cover reduces the temperature of the packing box to prevent external water vapor from condensing and freezing at the valve stem;
Material compatibility: All components in contact with the medium must undergo low-temperature impact testing.

Selection and usage precautions of Ultra-low temperature regulating valve
key parameter
Medium temperature: The minimum working temperature needs to be specified to ensure that the material's temperature resistance level matches.
Differential pressure and flow rate: For high differential pressure conditions, sleeve type or multi-stage pressure reducing structures should be selected; Priority should be given to Ball valves or butterfly valves for high flow rates.
Leakage level: Soft sealed single seat valves should be used for hazardous media such as oxygen, and metal sealed sleeve valves can be used for ordinary working conditions.
Installation and maintenance
Pipeline insulation: Valves need to be insulated synchronously with low-temperature pipelines to prevent surface condensation or freezing.
Prevent water infiltration: During construction, avoid water from entering the pipeline and regularly blow dry nitrogen to prevent freezing and jamming inside the valve.
Executive protection: Pneumatic actuators need to be equipped with air dryers to prevent moisture from freezing in compressed air; Electric actuators need to be equipped with heating sleeves.
Regular verification: At least one low-temperature travel verification and leakage test should be conducted annually, with a focus on checking the sealing performance of the stuffing box and corrugated pipe.
