The Nuclear butterfly valve is mainly composed of a valve body, a valve plate, a valve shaft, a sealing ring, and an electric actuator. Valve bodies are usually made of high-strength metal materials, such as stainless steel, to withstand high temperatures, pressures, and corrosion from media. The valve plate is disc-shaped, installed in the diameter direction of the pipeline, and can rotate around the valve axis. The valve shaft is driven by an electric actuator to rotate the valve plate. Sealing rings are used to ensure the sealing performance of valves and can be made of materials such as rubber, plastic, or metal.

Similar to ordinary butterfly valves, in the cylindrical channel of the valve body of nuclear power butterfly valves, the disc-shaped butterfly plate rotates around the axis, with a rotation angle between 0 ° and 90 °. By controlling the rotation angle of the butterfly plate, the control and cutoff of the medium flow rate can be achieved. When the butterfly plate rotates to 90 °, the valve is fully open and the medium can pass smoothly; When the butterfly plate rotates to 0 °, the valve closes, cutting off the flow of the medium.

High reliability design

Adopting a double eccentric or triple eccentric structure, the eccentric layout of the valve stem, valve body, and valve plate enables frictionless opening and closing of the sealing surface, reducing wear and extending service life.

Some models are equipped with independent driving devices and have emergency manual operation functions to ensure reliable opening and closing in case of control system failures.

Multiple sealing mechanisms

The main seal adopts metal hard seal or elastic seal, combined with the precise fit of the valve body and valve plate, to achieve zero leakage or low leakage level.

The valve stem seal adopts a multi-layer packing box structure to prevent medium leakage, especially suitable for isolating radioactive media.

Seismic and impact resistant design

The valve body adopts integral forging or casting technology, with a sturdy structure that can withstand seismic loads and fluid impacts at the level of nuclear power plants, avoiding structural failure under extreme working conditions.
