The three eccentric butterfly valve has the characteristics of bidirectional sealing, zero leakage, and low torque. The metal sealed valve seat makes it suitable for various harsh working conditions. Its eccentric design allows the sealing pair to detach immediately when the valve is opened, with less friction on the valve seat, greatly improving the service life of the valve. At the same time, it has natural fire resistance characteristics and is widely used for cutting off and regulating fluids in various pipelines.
Core Structure and Eccentricity Principle
The "three eccentricities" of the three eccentric butterfly valve are reflected in:
First eccentricity (axial eccentricity): There is an offset between the axis of the valve stem and the center line of the valve body in the axial direction to avoid direct friction between the valve seat and the valve plate when it is opened.
Second eccentricity (radial eccentricity): The axis of the valve stem is radially offset by a certain distance relative to the centerline of the sealing surface of the valve seat, causing the valve plate to quickly detach from the valve seat during the initial opening, reducing wear.
Third eccentricity (sealing surface inclination angle eccentricity): The sealing surface of the valve seat forms a certain angle with the centerline of the valve body, which creates a wedging effect when the valve plate is closed. Through the assistance of medium pressure, the sealing performance is enhanced, achieving metal hard sealing.
Key components:
Valve body: The material is mostly cast steel, stainless steel or alloy, suitable for high temperature and high pressure environments.
Valve plate: adopting streamlined design, surface welded with hard alloy or sprayed with ceramic, resistant to erosion and wear.
Valve seat: Metal hard sealing structure, or composite material, capable of withstanding high pressure differentials and high temperatures.
Drive device: electric, pneumatic, hydraulic or worm gear transmission, suitable for automation control needs.
